Furthermore, in Genesis 6: 2,4 it states - 2 ‘That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose’. And 4 - ‘There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown’. Do sons of God lust for and have sex with earthing women? According to the Greek myth about Perseus they do! Continuing in Genesis 6: 5 - ‘And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually’. I thought that in Genesis 6: 2,4 they were describing the wickedness of God’s supposed sons, not the wickedness of men. Then in Genesis 6: 6 one of the biggest lies about God is told‘ - ‘And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart’. This verse illustrates how personification, a literary device used by writers, works. But, when applied to God Almighty, it is blasphemy! Let me add that the lie being told in 6:6 combined with the fact that it is written by earthling man, whose number is 6, does not coincidentally result in 666. But I digress. How do I know that Genesis 6: 6 is a lie? Because the Bible tells me so in Numbers 23: 19 - ‘God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good’? The New World Translation’s version of Genesis 6: 6 and Numbers 23: 19 uses the modern term regret instead of the old English term repent making what is being said much clearer for today’s readers.
